At 1532 hours, Canton Fire was dispatched for interior personnel to the scene of a confirmed structure fire in the Village of Potsdam. Canton was also requested for Tanker 20 moments later. At 1539 hours, Rescue 1 responded followed by Tanker 20. Chief E. Johnson (4-3) and Chief Holcomb (4-4) responded as well. Rescue 1 arrived on scene at 1549 hours and the crew went to work, assisting Potsdam members with fire suppression and overhaul. Potsdam Command then requested Tower at 1551 hours to the scene for aerial operations. Tower 1 responded and arrived on-scene at 1608 hours. Tower 1 was placed on the bravo side of the building to assist Potsdam Tower 5 with ventilation and overhaul. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries and all Canton Fire units were back in service at 1823 hours.
