St. Lawrence County Issues Burn Ban

St. Lawrence County has issued an emergency Burn Ban across the county.

As of today at 6:30 p.m., all outdoor fires including burn barrels are banned. This order supersedes any burning permits already issued.

Legislature Chariman J. Patrick Turbett issued the emergency order, saying extremely dry conditions are causing a hazard.

The ban extends until September 30th and may be extended at that time. A violation of the order is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor.
