CFD Extends Condolences To The Owego Fire Department

The members of Canton Fire and Rescue extend their condolences to the members of the Owego Fire Department in Tioga County. Captain Matthew Porcari was killed and Lieutenant Daniel Gavin was injured fighting a house fire late last night. Lt. Gavin, brother of CFD FF Timothy Gavin, suffered burns to the face and hands and was flown to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for treatment. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Porcari and Gavin families and with our brothers and sisters in the Owego Fire Department.
