The summer of 2011 turned into the summer of love for 4 Canton members. On July 30, Adam Leggett and Marlise Hernandez were married in Gunnison Chapel on the campus of St. Lawrence University. The ceremony was performed by our own Dale Gardner, with a reception following at the Grand View. The most oft heard comment in the days to follow was that no one had ever seen a young lady so exited to be married! With the help of a great DJ, a good time was had by all. Adam and Marlise came separately from out of the area to attend St. Lawrence and started dating after they had each joined the Fire Dept. They have made Canton their home and we are blessed to have them.
The following weekend, August 6, Josh Rose(Mutual Aid-Assit Chief/Pierrepont) and Kathryn Dalton were married in St. Mary's Church. Kathryn was escorted down the aisle by her father, Canton Fire Chief Michael Dalton. Kathryn's mom Joyce and brother Mark are also members of the department. Their reception was also at the Grandview and was well attended by many Canton and Pierrepont members. Thanks to some great music by the Six Foot Midgets, another good time was had by all, not the least of which was Kathryn's grandmother, Pat.
