Mutual Aid Structure Fire in Pierrepont

Pierrepont Fire Department, along with Colton Fire and Rescue and County Car 4, were dispatched at 13:36 for a tractor on fire inside of a workshop at 132 Coon Road. Canton Fire was requested by Pierrepont Fire to standby for possible response at 13:42. At 13:47, Pierrepont 35-4 arrived on scene and upgraded Canton Fire to respond to the scene, along with the tanker task force, due to the fire spreading to the entire workshop with collapse of the structure. Tanker 20 (B. McCluskey), Chief 4-3 (E. Johnson) Chief 4-4 (Holcomb), and Rescue 1 (Burdick) responded to the scene. Members found heavy smoke and steam billowing upward from the remnants of the structure. Canton firefighters assisted Pierrepont and other mutual aid companies in extinguishment and overhaul of the building and its contents. All Canton units back in service at 16:38.
