At 1834 hours, Canton Fire, Canton Rescue and County Car 4 were dispatched to the SN Partners John Deere Dealership on CR 27 for a reported vehicle fire close to the building. Chief Holcomb (4-4) was enroute at the time of the alarm later arriving on scene at 1840 hours to find a tractor on fire at the rear of the shop within 3 feet of the building. Engine 7 arrived on scene moments later , with their crew stretching a hand line and making a quick knockdown. Members gained access and entered the building with an TIC (Thermal Imaging Camera) to make sure the fire had not extended into the walls from the outside. Additional members arrived on scene with Rescue 1 and Tanker 20 to assist. The fire was determined to be caused from an electrical malfunction in the tractor. Fifteen Canton Fire members responded. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries and all units were back in service at 1940 hours.
