Canton Fire was dispatched at 0909 to a motor vehicle accident in front of 1494 State Highway 310. West Potsdam Fire requested Rescue 1 and manpower for extrication. Arriving on scene at 0929, the crew worked with West Potsdam Fire personnel in frigid temperatures to free the accident victim using both hand tools and hydraulic extrication tools from both departments. The patient was removed from the vehicle and transferred to the care of the Potsdam Rescue Squad crew on scene. Ten members responded and all Canton units were back in service at 1020 hours.
