Canton Fire and Canton Rescue, along with County Car 4, were dispatched at 0804 to reported serious one vehicle MVA with entrapment. Assistant Chief McGregor (4-2) was enroute immediately. Arriving on scene at 0810, he advised that extrication would be required as there were two patients to be transported and one deceased at the scene. Rescue 1 arrived at 0816 along with Engine 8, Ambulances 131, 133, and 135. Extrication was performed and both patients were transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital. The New York State Police handled the crash investigation. Canton Fire stood by at the scene and closed the road to traffic as well until the investigation was complete and the vehicle removed. Canton Fire had 20 members respond and all personnel were back in service at 1505 hours.
