As the temperatures start getting colder remember to have your chimney cleaned by a qualified professional. They will ensure your chimney is in top performance and your wood stove ready for the first fire of the season.

And just because you don't have a wood stove doesn't mean you're exempt from heating related emergencies. Be sure to check for plant growth and small animals nests in and around furnace exhaust pipes as they can occlude exhaust creating a build-up of carbon monoxide.

If your carbon monoxide detector sounds, don't risk it. Exit the dwelling and call 9-1-1.

We have very sensitive meters to detect carbon monoxide and can assist with determining the cause.
