At approximately 13:46 Central Dispatch activated Canton Fire & Rescue for a possible structure fire at 6286 CR 27, Birchwood Park Trailer Park. Canton Chief, Brian McCluskey, was en-route almost immediately and arrived on scene at approximately 13:51 reporting smoke showing from the rear side of the trailer. A fully staffed Engine 7 arrived shortly thereafter, quickly deploying a hand line through the front door, and knocking down the rapidly spreading fire. The crew from Engine 7 also conducted a primary search of the residence with no occupants found. Once the fire was extinguished salvage and overall operations began to ensure that the fire had not spread. All Canton Fire & Rescue units and members were back in service at 16:02

The St. Lawrence Fire Investigation team assisted with determining the cause of the fire, which is still under investigation at this time.
