On October 13, members of Canton Fire & Rescue, along with members of Pyrites Fire, conducted a vehicle extrication drill. The drill was held at Boyden Brook Body Works. Many thanks to Jim Rose for again providing vehicles for training. The drill was led by 2nd Assistant Chief Dan Aldous.
One team learned the tricks of cutting a vehicle open using only hand tools, while the other team used the power spreaders to completely remove the door.
The drill was cut short as members from both departments were called to a car vs bear accident on County Rt. 21.
