Friend and family of Firefighter Jim Higgins are holding a jamboree for him on September 10th at the AMVETS post on USH 11 halfway between Canton and Potsdam. Jim is a member of our department and a past member of the Madrid Fire Department. Jim has been diagnosed with a number of debilitating illnesses which have caused him to have limited mobility. The jamboree is being held to make renovations to his home to make it more handicap accessible and easier for Jim to navigate. We encourage everyone to attend, visit with Jim, and have a good time. There will be a 50/50 raffle, food, and auction and live bands. Jim is a great and courageous guy so come out and give him some support!!
