At 1905 hours on February 9, 2016, Canton Fire & Rescue was dispatched to 115 Rich Road for a reported chimney fire. Chief McCluskey was the first on scene and reported no visible flames but heavy smoke out the chimney. When E-7 arrived on scene, half of the crew went to the basement while the other half placed ladders on the residence and went to the roof. The thermal imaging camera (TIC), chimney brushes, and chimney bombs (dry-chem bags) were used to successfully locate and extinguish the fire. Thanks to the quick response and successful attack on the chimney fire, there was no spread to the rest of the residence. There were no injuries and no major damage to the residence. Canton Fire & Rescue was back in service and in quarters by 2130 hours.

The chiefs would like to thank all personnel for a job well done.
