| Canton Fire and Rescue was dispatched at 1648 hours to a reported MVA on SH 68, just west of the SUNY Canton entrance. Chief Robert Crowe went enroute immediately, arriving on scene at 1650 hours to find a 3 car chain reaction collision at the rear of a line of traffic backed up due to construction on Main Street. Rescue 1, Ambulance 132 and Ambulance 131 responded shortly thereafter. All victims refused medical treatment. Due to the traffic tie ups connected with the construction on Main Street, Canton PD responded back through town to escort the wreckers to the scene to clear the road and get westbound traffic flowing on SH 68 again. All units were back in service at 1736 hours. |
