| Late Thursday evening the tones dropped for Canton Fire and EMS to respond to USH 11 near the Jameson Road for a 2 car Motor Vehicle Collision with unknown extent of injuries. 3rd Assistant Chief Brian McCluskey arrived first on scene to report a rear end accident between a Chevy HHR and a Pickup Truck with extensive damage to the rear of the HHR. All occupants of both vehicles were out of their cars, and Assistant Chief McCluskey deemed no extrication was required. Canton EMS was immediately en route as well as Canton Fire with Rescue 1 and Engine 8. Both Rescue 1 and Engine 8's crews were assigned traffic control duty while Canton EMS with Ambulances 131 and 132 took charge of patient care. One patient was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital with minor injuries and the rest of the parties involved signed off refusing medical care. All units were quickly back in service. |
